Obituary of CAROLYN MARIE GENYK

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, partner and friend. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents Alexander and Gail Genyk, and her brother Barry. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Dale (Simon) and Ryan (Deanna); her husband Harry Both and his children Mandy and Michael; brothers Brian (Janice), Wayne (Wendy) and Brad (Gabi); nephews Alex and Joey; nieces Meagan and Renae.

Carolyn was thrilled and excited to hear she would be a grandmother of twins next spring. A devoted mother and friend, she loved her animals and truly cared for and protected those closest to her. We envision her continuing to spoil all of God’s little creatures in Heaven. She loved decorating for the seasonal holidays and celebrating every occasion. Being with her two boys and sharing special family time brought her the most joy and peace. Carolyn faced any challenge with tenacity and passion, fighting her health setbacks with faith and strength until the end.

The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at the HSC Women’s Hospital for their care and compassion, as well as her team at St. Boniface CancerCare.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 14th at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
