Obituary of SHARON LORRAINE DEBIUK
With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our Wife, Mom, and Baba, Sharon Lorraine Debiuk, on September 30, 2024, with her family by her side.
Sharon is lovingly remembered her devoted husband of 50 years, Wayne; her children, Chris (Andrea) and Kerri (Cory); and her grandchildren, Ethan, Rhea, Adrian, and Carmyn. She will also be deeply missed by her sisters, Carol and Val (Glenn), along with nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Born on September 28, 1952, in Beausejour, MB, Sharon was raised in Winnipeg, where she met and married the love of her life, Wayne, in 1974.
Sharon found joy in gardening, camping, and spending time with her loved ones. She took pride in passing down family traditions, such as making perogies and dill pickles. Nothing brought her more happiness than time spent with her grandchildren. She was a devoted and active Baba and was their greatest cheerleader.
Her love for family and friends was unwavering, and she showed strength, compassion, and courage to the very end. Sharon had a beautiful, fun-loving personality and a wonderful sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew her. Her giving heart and nurturing spirit will forever be remembered.
Our family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Holy Family Home for the compassionate care they provided, ensuring Sharon felt safe and supported during her battle with Alzheimer's. We also wish to thank family, friends, and colleagues for their love and support.
A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Thursday, October 10 at 2:00 p.m., with Father Bohdan Lukie officiating. A private family interment will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sharon's memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba.
